Are You An Alien??

As I read the scripture verse for today [By faith he lived as an alien in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, dwelling in tents with Isaac and Jacob, fellow heirs of the same promise;for he was looking for the city which has foundations, whose architect and builder is God.Hebrews 11:9,10] I focused on the word alien so I began to research it. But what came to mind 1st was the song from Petra called "Not of this world" so I went looking for it.  I linked it for you if you'd like to hear it.

ALIENS-as being separated from Christ. The Gentiles had many gods.  They did not recognize the true God becuz they did not want Him.  Abraham was an alien in  a strange country.  Remember, he did as God asked and left his country and journeyed to a place he didn't know.

We are aliens too~

1st and foremost if we are not a biblical christian [separated from Christ], we are separated from God, heaven and all that goes with being a believer-we are alienated from God.  Even though, thru general revelation, we are conscious of God's existence, power & divine nature [see Romans 1 especially verses 18-26].
2ndly, if we are a Biblical christian this world is not where our citizenship is. Ephesians 2:19 says we are fellow citizens with the saints if we are a redeemed sinner but I Peter 2:11 says we are a sojourner but we should live righteously in a hostile world - our citizenship is heaven.

Are you an alien? Are you alienated from Christ? Are you a redeemed sinner that can claim your citizenship is heaven?

We have been made for fellowship with God but sin has separated [alienated] us from Him.  We cannot save ourselves from the grip of sin.  No matter how good we want to be or how good we seem to others, we need God's grace to bridge the chasm between God's holiness and our sin.  If we put our faith in Christ, we can have a right relationship with God and thru faith and repentance be forgiven of our sins.
